Named after Ryuichi Sakamoto’s evocative song A Flower is not a Flower, the SS25 collection explores the beauty found in transient moments, challenging the perception that ephemeral experiences are devoid of significance.
The collection revolves around capturing the essence of summer’s lightness, where garments are not merely functional but serve as embodiments of artistic expression. By focusing on interesting proportions and beautiful materials, looking for a balance of lightness and structure and ensuring that each piece harmonizes with the wearer’s movements.
Central to the collection are gauzy lightweight knits that act as versatile layering pieces, with ethereal textures and effortless silhouettes. Additionally, textured gingham jacquards take center stage in jackets, tops, skirts, pants and dresses; reimagining a fabric traditionally associated with domesticity and girlishness into a symbol of contemporaneity.
The introduction of sculptural balloon shapes further enriches the collection, infusing modern playfulness into silhouettes that emphasize fluidity and volume.
